The race, decoded

The format is simple.
The test isn’t.

HYROX has a rhythm: run, work, recover just enough, then go again. The challenge isn’t understanding the format. It’s maintaining your pace and movement quality as fatigue builds.

AlphaFit trains the qualities that make that possible, so you can reach the start line with a plan and finish knowing you executed it.

What race day really asks of you

Built in training. Proven under pressure.
Pace

Own your pace.

Settle into a sustainable race rhythm, control the early effort and save enough to finish with intent.

Efficiency

Move well. Waste less.

Sharper technique and cleaner transitions cut wasted movement, lost time and unnecessary fatigue.

Resilience

Stay composed under pressure.

Keep producing quality work when your breathing is high, your legs are heavy and the race gets hard.

Purpose-built preparation

Two systems.
One athlete.

Engine develops the capacity to keep going. Build develops the force to keep performing. Together, they prepare you for the full demand of race day.

01 / Endurance

Engine

Build your engine. Improve your endurance.

A focused mix of running, erg work, intervals, conditioning and HYROX-specific movement. Improve your aerobic capacity, control your pace and make race speed feel more manageable.

Build

Get stronger. Move better. Perform harder.

Strength training, functional movement and race-specific exercises build the power and resilience to repeatedly produce force under fatigue, from sled work and lunges to carries and wall balls.

The SIM mindset

Train hard. Test yourself. Learn from it. Come back better.

The official race sequence

Know the work.
Train the demand.

Every station changes the problem. Some test aerobic control, while others demand force, grip or movement quality under fatigue.

Knowing what each station asks of you makes training more specific and race-day decisions more deliberate.

01 First station

SkiErg

What it tests Pulling endurance + rhythm

Settle early. Long, controlled pulls help keep your effort in check.

02 Second station

Sled push

What it tests Leg drive + body position

Stay low, keep your steps short and maintain pressure through the sled.

03 Third station

Sled pull

What it tests Grip + posterior-chain strength

Use a consistent hand-over-hand rhythm and keep the rope organised.

04 Fourth station

Burpee broad jumps

What it tests Full-body efficiency

Make each landing stable and choose a jump length you can repeat.

05 Fifth station

Rowing

What it tests Aerobic control + technique

Smooth, connected strokes beat frantic ones when fatigue is high.

06 Sixth station

Farmers carry

What it tests Grip + trunk stability

Stand tall, take quick controlled steps and minimise unnecessary sway.

07 Seventh station

Sandbag lunges

What it tests Single-leg strength + control

Keep the bag settled and make every step consistent.

08 Final station

Wall balls

What it tests Squat stamina + accuracy

Protect your rhythm and make every repetition count.

The AlphaFit approach

Build the capacity. Practise the skill. Test it under fatigue.

Since I found Alphafit I’ve been so much more motivated to work out. The atmosphere in the gym is electric and really inspires you to push yourself in your workout, much more than what you’d do on your own in the gym.
